What is it?
While my baseball journey has been made possible by the endless support I have been given from coaches, teammates, family, friends, and so many more, I know that a lot of other girls don't have the same opportunities as I did. With organizations like Baseball for All and MLB's expanding outreach to female baseball players across the country, as well as role models like Mo'ne Davis and Veronica Alvarez, girls baseball is growing. I started the Leadoff Initiative Scholarship Campaign as a fundraiser for girls who don't have access to all of the support, resources and equipment needed to be in the game. Everyone should be able to play the game that they love, no matter their gender or the resources they have, and the only way we truly can make the game of baseball for all is if we level the playing field.
